How long have you been in business?
Lake Castle has been in operation in the greater New Orleans area for over 45 years. Our campus in Madisonville, LA has been in operation for 14 years.
What is your primary product or service?
We are a private elementary school serving grades Pre-Kindergarten thru 8th grade.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My father, Mr. Clendon J. Butera, first opened Lake Castle Private School in New Orleans in 1963. I am the principal/owner of Lake Castle Madisonville Private School. I am a graduate of Jesuit High School in New Orleans and Tulane University.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I believe that educational standards in this country have been watered down incredibly. At Lake Castle, we will always maintain high standards, and we believe that the single biggest mistake adults make is underestimating what children are capable of accomplishing. If you expect nothing, that is exactly what you will get.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Lake Castle Madisonville Private School will continue to serve the northshore for many years to come. Our campus may expand if the demand for our product continues to increase.
